Urban Harvest at St Luke’s ‘the bombed out church’
Thursday October 13, 2011 – 7pm
St Luke’s – ‘The Bombed Out Church”
(on the corner of Berry Street and Leece Street)
Goodness is the harvest that is produced from the seeds the peacemakers plant in peace.
James 3.18
What is the harvest of goodness that we seek to reap in the urban environment?
This harvest thanksgiving service will seek to celebrate all that is good in our city life: it will give thanks for the rich seam of creativity that surrounds us, and we will praise God for all our gifts, talents and blessings. We will also pray for the future of our city: we pray for the harvest of justice and peace to thrive and the weeds of intolerance, greed and suffering to fail. May Liverpool be a free and Godly place where the harvest is good and righteousness reigns!
Please come to this celebration with your creative gifts:
a piece of art,
a home-made craft,
a song,
a poem,
a dance,
a beautiful sound,
a hidden talent,
a silent word offered in hope…
whatever you bring to God in grace will be acceptable as a sign of your thanksgiving for all that is good in your life.
